Welcome To Twin Dental In Edmonton, Alberta
What To Expect At Your First Dental Visit
Making the choice of a new dental care provider for your family can be a hard one. And you want to know this choice is the right one for your family. We encourage you to explore our website for answers to your oral health questions ... starting with what to expect at your first appointment.
Our Office
At Twin Dental, we’re focused on doing everything we can to help our amazing patients protect and strengthen their oral health. Whatever your needs and goals, our caring, empathetic, and skilled team would love to help you smile!
Diagnostics
Used to check for issues and to establish a baseline for future care, digital diagnostic equipment emits about 90% less radiation than with film x-rays and it's much more environmentally friendly.
Front Desk
Your medical history is an important part of your dental visits. Why? Because certain medications and health conditions can impact your oral health and how we manage your treatment needs. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment to fill out our intake form, or feel free to complete it online.
Practice Tour
Come in and see where beautiful smiles are created. Meet our team and feel our relaxed Twin Dental atmosphere. Many of our anxious patients found that this tour helped alleviate their anxiety about dentistry, allowing them to have the care they need and deserve. Call us to arrange your visit – we’ll be excited to welcome you!
Treatment Coordination
At Twin Dental, we want to ensure you leave our office with all your questions asked and answered. From insurance to treatment options to future care questions, we will give you clear answers that help you make the best decisions for you, and your family's, personal situation.
Doctor Checkup
Meet Dr. Wong and discuss your personal oral health needs and desires. After a thorough examination, Dr. Wong will discuss his findings with you and determine the personalized approach that will work best for you. After we take care of any emergency needs, we’ll set up a regular care schedule, design a treatment plan, and if you’re interested, discuss your cosmetic options. We will work with you to help you meet your goals.
Hygiene
At your first appointment, we take the time to get to know you and everything about your teeth, gums, and mouth to get a clear picture of your oral health needs and concerns. Because of this, we will spend a little extra time than we do with your regular maintenance hygiene appointments. We’ll also create a mouth-map that we’ll use to track changes over time. We’ll assess for any jaw joint issues and do a screening for oral cancer. Please take advantage of this appointment by asking any questions you have about homecare. Your hygienist is proficient at patient education and will happily give you all the help you need to take the best care of your smile.
